NOW AVAILABLE! Student Time Clock Version 4.1.6!
What is Library/Student Time Clock?
Time Clock is a Runtime program that was developed using Filemaker Pro software and will run on Windows or Mac OS platforms. It is a simple log-in/log-out program for monitoring student traffic in a library, learning lab, nurse's office, or anywhere it is desirable to track student visits.
New! Counselor Time Clock and Administrator Time Clock!
Counselor Time Clock allows students to log in, indicate the name of the counselor they are seeing, and log out. It also has an option to print a 3x5 Student Admit Slip to return to class.
Administrator Time Clock operates in 3 modes:
Admit - Tracks students who are late to school and/or classes and prints out a Student Admit Slip.
Clock Out/In - Tracks students who need to leave school for appointments or illness. Students can log out, log in, and has an option for printing a Student Admit Slip.
Office Visits - Tracks students and visitors who are coming in to see an administrator. Option for printing a Student Admit Slip.
How does Library/Student Time Clock work?
Time Clock is most efficient when combined with hardware for scanning student IDs and when it is set up on a dedicated computer station.
Once the Log-in mode is activated, as students enter the room, they scan their IDs (or enter their ID numbers manually from a keyboard or numeric keypad). Students are then directed to a screen to select the Primary Purpose of their visit to complete the log-in process*. As students leave the room, they again scan their IDs to log-out**.
The librarian, teacher, or system administrator has access to the Student Activity data, which will show the student ID number, student name, date, time in, time out**, elapsed time**, and purpose of visit*. The data is searchable (for a specific student, time period, etc.) and reports can be displayed and printed to show usage trends daily, weekly, monthly, by grading period, semester, etc.
*The Purpose of Visit list is fully customizable. Some versions omit this option.
**Some versions omit this step.
